THE EMPEROR BECOMES CHRISTIAN

The one all right if you're really believe that are in general and special Counsel Ian only that's the only ones in the little flying up in a place to go home now and you see also is the place of EN easy one if they were only that's Ian handed down line down the FBI was lying on the throne and they using the housing authority of the little only copy the greatest threat to our only use the reason why the 1000 is only one less as as it's only the 66016661 one year and 10133883 303333 What happens when the emperor becomes Christian?

For the history buffs, you probably recognize I'm referring to the Roman Emperor Constantine, who lived 1800 years ago.  This guess about the emperor may seem too apparent; after all how many emperors became Christian.  However, the question about what happens when that happens may not be too clear and may raise some questions.

Clearly, with Emperor Constantine becoming Christian, brought enormous benefits to the Christian Church.
Actually I don't really know if Constantine became a Christian. His statue was sculpted among the twelve Apostles statues, however his statue was the most prominent.  He still acted liked a Roman Empire Emperor in many ways.  He wasn't baptized until just before his death.

He quickly
--outlawed the persecution of Christians
--raised the social status of Christians from undesirable level to a considerable social-political advantage.  Suddenly it became popular.
--introduced an entirely new world for Christians, with new directions and goals.  Many      things of the new world soon substituted themselves for the past.                                   (new converts could be pressured or forced to convert, rather than won to Christ.
or some things contradicted the past or directly opposed the past.

(The Biblical church was the Body(believers) of Christ, and they met in houses or some handy shelter. But now the church became a geographic locality, a building--the focus of loyalty, devotion, etc.. Constantine built great cathedrals, basilicas.
--  The church also became an institution of the state--very similar to a commercial business.  The success was found in the independence,  numbers and wealth. To be dependent on faith, small, lacking material power was failure.     (check out the seven churches in Revelations)

--Church leaders eventually became like lords, wearing diamonds, precious stones,  ermine furs.
How could you possibly oppose any of this?   After suffering persecutions and church leaders being the beggers, the focus of persecution and now walking around in ermine furs. Meeting in beautiful Cathedrals?

Many things the church counts as Biblical come from this connection.
